hi stephen,

could you please add a shortcut/action to toggle showing the actual movement (blue) arrow? i found it annoying several times when using raster maps when it covered an important POI. thank you!

Hi Jose,

Do you think this really needs a shortcut action? The View Options/Show Direction tickbox can be used to turn the arrows on/off. It remembers the setting for each view independently, so I sometimes have the arrows showing on screen [4] but hidden on screen [6], so that switching from one screen to the other acts as a quick way to see/hide the arrows.

Having said that, it shouldn't be too difficult to add it as a Shortcut Action...

Cheers,
Stephen

hi stephen,

wrt shortcuts, did you give some thoughts to http://www.trackmyjourney.co.uk/forum/10679_revamping_key_shortcuts_idea ? also, switching screen would not really solve my problem when using non-OSM raster tiles.

Hi Jose,

Yeah sorry, I thought quite a bit about that thread but then never replied... Its a good idea in principle but I concluded that it wasn't really worth the significant changes to the existing system to warrant the benefits. Also, it would get more complicated since not only do the context menus change depending which screen you're on, but also depending on other factors (eg whether Auto-Pan is enabled, Vector Maps enabled, if a Waypoint is Selected, etc) so it could be confusing if a shortcut had the intended effect some of the time but did odd things at other times...

Cheers,
Stephen
