When I go to 'live' on my friend's handheld to see where I'm at (and I'm signed in as my account,) no maps show up, why and how do I fix this?

Hi,

You don't say what type of handheld you are using but I suspect that if it is running Windows Mobile or similar then it won't have sufficient Javascript capability to display the maps - you'll need to view the Live page using IE6/7, Firefox, Opera or Safari on a PC/Mac.

Does it work okay on a normal PC?

yup, it works fine on a regular pc. It doesn't work on my tmobile dash. is there a way to get more javascript on the dash or blackberry? the maps don't work on my blackberry 8800 either.

No, unfortunately I don't think there's any easy way to get the full Google or Microsoft maps to work on a mobile.

However TMJ-Mobile itself though can display maps, which have to be pre-calibrated and stored on the phones memory card. If two people have a phone running TMJ-Mobile with maps stored on it then they would be able can see each others location on their own map.

See http://www.trackmyjourney.co.uk/mobilemapconversion.php for more info on converting maps and http://www.trackmyjourney.co.uk/mobilemaplibrary.php to download some maps which I have already converted for use with TMJ-Mobile.
