jose1711 12:09 Location: Phone Model: | hello, please is there a way to change a directory where all geotagged files are saved to? i accidentally used the root fs (/) hence TMJ cannot now save :-/ thank you, jose
Stephen 17:33 Location: Phone Model: | Hi Jose, They are saved in the same folder as the GPS Logs, set via Menu/GPS/Log Options/Log Folder... Cheers, Stephen
jose1711 8:14 Location: Phone Model: | hello stephen, i changed log folder to E:/, but still getting java.io.IOException: File does not exist as soon as I start recording. nokia e51 here. thank you, jose
Stephen 20:19 Location: Phone Model: | Hi Jose, Check in the phones Application Manager settings that the Read/Write permissions settings for TMJ are set to allow file access (or at least to prompt for access). It may also be possible that some phones only allow access to certain folders in the filesystem. Try manually creating a new folder on the memory card and set that as the log folder. (Nokia are a problem generally since even when working correctly the phone is still likely to prompt for file access on each recording) Cheers, Stephen
jose1711 7:50 Location: Phone Model: | hi stephen, tmj first prompts for access to camera or audio applications, then for write access, then i can see recording timer, and it crashes before the timer starts. recording from unsigned gpsmid works fine so i think there must be a problem in the code. cheers, jose
Stephen 19:32 Location: Phone Model: | Hi Jose, What sort of crash - do you get an error message, or any logged in the Event Log (Menu/Debug/View Event Log) if it is still accessible? And BlackBerry or Nokia? Cheers, Stephen
jose1711 20:36 Location: Phone Model: | hi stephen, i am getting "Recording error! java.io.IOException: File does not exist" message accross the screen, but the application as such continues running normally. I can see Err: java.io.IOException: File does not exist @ RCAUD2 in the event log. cell having this problem is nokia e51 (s60). thank you for looking at it, jose
Stephen 13:46 Location: Phone Model: | I've hopefully fixed this for the next release (it gave the same error on my Nokia 5800). Looks like the audio file needs to already exist on the memory card before the phone will write to it. Unfortunately the workaround (to create the file before starting the recording) will mean yet another security prompt will be displayed on Nokia phones... I'd stick to your BlackBerry for audio recordings in future...!! Cheers, Stephen
