The activity profile is a very useful tool. But, when choosing one, it can be a bit tricky with the keys you have to use.

In a Nokia 6151, direction key right changes profile. up and down moves along the available settings for that particular profile, and key left...? moves back to previous menu.

The Menu key changes profile just as direction key righ, and the left main key takes you back to the operating screen.

For me, this is a bit confusing, and I've found myself feeling silly for pressing the wrong key.

Do you share this feeling? Is something to be done around it?

Many thanks,

Diego, Spain

Hi Diego,

When you put it like that perhaps the menu behaviour does seem a bit odd, however I personally think that its consistent with the behaviour of the other TMJ menus, so I'm not too sure how it should work differently.

Is it that you'd prefer both the [Left] and [Right] keys to move backwards/forwards through the Activity Profiles, rather than having the [Right] key to switch profile and the [Left] key to go back to the previous menu?

Incidentally, have you tried setting the Menu/Settings/Define Shortcut Keys/Zero Key Shortcut to 'Shortcut Menu'. That way it is much quicker/easier to change profile by simply pressing [0][9][0]. (And you can also hide Profiles that you don't use by unticking the Activity Profile/Show In Shortcut Menus option.

Regards,
Stephen

Or even better, map a spare key to change the profile. I have my phone setup so that I can change profiles with one key press (well, 2-3 presses of a single key anyway)

Chris.
