I apologize if this has been already explained elsewhere, I could not find it. I've played a little bit with the "averaged high precision mode", that turns on when you pause track recording. A small crosshair and a number appears. I understand that the crosshair marks the averaged position and the number is the number of readouts taken into account. Is this correct ?
But how do I get the coordinates of this position ?

Yes, thats right.

As it was initially an experimental option there's currently no way to directly retrieve the high precision location except by zooming in a lot on the plan page. Do you think it would be better if I alter the 'New Waypoint: Current Loc' code to use the high precision location when the track is paused?

Yes, I think so. The application for geocaching would obviously be to get the coordinates when placing a new geocache. That would indeed be useful. Thanks.

I've now altered this for the next version... :-)
