hi

I just have a couple usage questions about TMJ Mobile. Hopefully someone can answer those. I've been trying to figure these out by changing the settings but I was not successful. Anyways:

1. Is it possible to turn off track recording? I don't want track recording to start automatically when I start TMJ mobile. I know you can pause track recording from the settings but is it possible to not have it start automatically when I start the TMJ mobile application.

2. Is there a way to disable the application from sending track information to the server via data connection. I want to be able to record my track on the phone so i can view it later but i don't want to send that information to the server (to save on data costs).

Hi Talal,

1. I'm not sure if you can start up TMJ without track recording except from stopping gps auto connecting. To make sure I get an accurate track reading when I start I clear the current track.

2. Goto Main Menu, select web. Option 1. Make sure it displays Enable Upload ( web upload is disabled at this point).

Regards

David.

Hi Talal,

If you set the Zero key shortcut to Pause Track, then after starting up you can just press Zero to prevent the track from being recorded. (Currently if you subsequently Clear the track then recording will be unpaused, this will be fixed in the next version).

Further to Davids reply, as long as you *don't* have Web/Enable Upload at Start ticked, and don't manually Enable Upload, then TMJ won't use any data costs and can be used entirely off-line.

Cheers,
Stephen
