Hi
I installed the version "JP8+GPS" on my Sony Ericsson C702. When I select "Connect int. GPS" I have following messages in the GENERAL-screen:

first:
Internal GPS Active

after a few seconds:
Internal GPS Timeout

again after a few seconds:
Int GPS Signal Invalid

The GPS works with other applications. I also can see, that the GPS has been started by tmj (symbol on desktop).
Can anyone help me?

Hi,

There may be the odd weird issue with the C702 - I've not been able to fully test TMJ on it as yet. Are you getting any GPS signal at all (has the lat/lng readout on the main screen changed from 0,0)?

If you leave TMJ running outside (in good view of the sky) for a few minutes does it eventually pick up a signal? The GPS Timeout error is a bit strange, but the Signal Invalid error should only appear when the GPS is working correctly but unable to get a location fix (so maybe give it more time for this)?

Any luck?

Cheers,
Stephen

Hi Stephen

I had no signal outside too. Then I switched to another GPS-application, and I also had no signal!
So I turned of my phone, removed the accu for a while, and started it again.

And - it worked! So it was just a problem of the C702. The GPS-part needed a reset...

Thank you for your help!
Urs
