Hi,

This could be an issue with your phone (which handset model are you using?), although it looks as if our ISP is experiencing a few webserver timeout problems, so you might like to try again later.

Alternatively, you could download the JAR file straight to your computer, and then transfer it to your phone and install it directly. The JAR files are as follows (pick the one that matches your phone manufacturer):

Generic: http://www.trackmyjourney.co.uk/mobile/tmj-mobile050.jar
Sony Ericsson: http://www.trackmyjourney.co.uk/mobile/tmj-mobilese050.jar
Nokia: http://www.trackmyjourney.co.uk/mobile/tmj-mobilenokia050.jar
Motorola: http://www.trackmyjourney.co.uk/mobile/tmj-mobilemotorola050.jar

Good luck,
Stephen

Hmmm, I'm not sure whats causing this - as far as I can tell from your phones spec it should work okay, although I can't confirm this. The iDEN phones seem to work slightly differently from the two Motorola phones that I have tried with TMJ (the SLVR and RAZR). Also, it looks as if iDEN phones need both the JAR and JAD files (some phones only require the JAR file).

Could you try directly entering the following address in the phones web browser. This is a direct link to the JAD file, which should hopefully tell the phone where to grab the JAR file from:

To be honest I'm pretty much out of ideas. One final thought: the JAD file that you previously downloaded and tried to install offline would have attempted to point the phone to the JAR file on the website rather than the one that you downloaded. You might try editing the JAD file by opening it up in Notepad and changing the following line:

MIDlet-Jar-URL: http://www.trackmyjourney.co.uk/mobile/tmj-mobilemotorola050.jar

so that it reads:

MIDlet-Jar-URL: tmj-mobilemotorola050.jar

Save the changes, then try reinstalling the programs again.

Also, does your phone have a memory card? Sometimes it can be easier to copy the JAD and JAR files onto the memory card and then install them directly from the phone. (This might not apply to Motorola though - I mostly use Sony Ericsson/Nokia phones)...

Finally go it to go, local
IDEN JAL has a 16 carrector name limit Including the .jar
renamed both files to
mobilemot.jad
mobilemot.jar

Edited the .jad
MIDlet-Jar-URL: mobilemot.jar

Then loaded it into the phone with IDEN JAL

Lets see if it works now.....
